Role Summary

As part of the Business Applications Services (BAS) Tribe, our mission is to deliver and continuously enhance Ordering, Billing, Finance, and Provisioning services while evolving our on-premises and cloud technology stack. Several years into this transformation journey, we are advancing the consolidation and modernization of our technology landscape.

We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP developer in our Provisoning services area. If you are a hands-on, versatile Lead developer with a passion for Operational, Security and Compliance Excellence, and thrive in a cross-cultural, agile environment, you might be the person we are looking for. Part of a Development Chapter, you will report to a Chapter Lead and work closely with Product Owners, BA, developers and Testers. You will drive technical design decisions, planning, and development strategies for new features, technology, enhancements and ensuring alignment with delivery roadmap. Clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will join a diverse Tribe of 170+ enthusiastic professionals, spread across two main locations (Belgium & Malaysia). We value collaboration, continuous learning, open feedback, and a strong team mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for complex development initiatives, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Drive technical design decisions, planning, and development strategies for new features, technology, and enhancements.
  • Review, validate, and approve technical designs, code changes, and transport strategies.
  • Proactively identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns, and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements from development point of view
  • Work closely in collaboration with functional leads, product owners, architects, and operations teams
  • Support BAU and project delivery activities, ensuring alignment across environments.
  • Contribute to onboarding, knowledge transfer, and documentation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Typically, 10–15 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong expertise in ABAP-HANA (ex: CDS, Object oriented programming etc.) with Fiori knowledge
  • Experience with integration patterns, APIs, and system interfaces.
  • Proven experience acting as a technical lead on complex initiatives or large systems.
  • Strong experience working in Agile delivery models within controlled enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of SAP system landscapes, multi‑environment transport management, and release processes.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity BOPF framework and quality tools (onapsis) is an advantage.
  • Strong experience working in BAU and project‑based delivery models.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • High sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.
