10The Team: Fundamentals Data Stewardship team works closely with Product, Sales ,and Technology teams on driving fundamentals dataset strategy, prioritization, and project execution. This team takes ultimate ownership of the dataset by liaising and leading the definition and management of the data ecosystem, setting data policies, evaluating vendor data feeds, maintaining the standardization rules, and supporting Content Customer Success and Sales team in resolving client queries on fundamental data published across S&P Products.
The Impact: As part of the Data Stewardship Team, you will serve in the data lead and subject matter expert’s capacity leading, driving, and participating in the key initiatives to support our data management Strategy, Fundamentals Data Domain Projects, and other projects leading to content efficiencies, vendor management and deliver customer-first initiatives.
What’s in it for you: The selected candidate would be working as an individual contributor and would have a prospect to enhance project management, analytical, and multi-tasking skills and contribute to and lead projects/Key strategic initiatives. This role involves collaborating and interfacing directly with a diverse group of data operations, product, technology, legal, risk & compliance, and support groups during various stages of the project life cycle. The role also demands all-round – end-to-end involvement right from the foundational aspects of new ingestion processes to strengthening existing mature capabilities to scale.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the fundamental data and data lifecycle.
Manage metadata for datasets, ensuring clear documentation and understanding of data sources, uses, and interdependencies.
Lead data collation, analysis, extraction, and validation process through extensive research of data sets.
Support tech project management initiatives including new project creation and UAT testing.
Work closely with data and technology teams globally to streamline the data/content management process workflow, and ensure new processes are implemented and integrated without compromising data integrity.
Participate in and drive data quality, product, vendor, and technology discussions as required.
Review and resolve data queries relating to fundamental data from product, commercial, and client support teams.
Perform research to support strategic initiatives at Fundamentals Data Management to support delivery of Fundamentals Roadmap.
Support operations or project teams in planning and implementing new tools/solutions across businesses.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Qualifications/ Skill Set:
Self-starter with innovative and effective problem-solving skills
Proven record of successful delivery of complex projects, particularly in content-related domain
Familiarity with Fundamentals Dataset.
Knowledge about backend infrastructure (tables/pipelines/etc.)
Good understanding of S&P Products such as Capital IQ Pro, Capital IQ, Excel Plug-In, XpressFeed.
Proficient in writing and developing SQL Queries to analyze large data (joins, exist/not-exist, group by, having, cast.)
Ability to work collaboratively across segments and cultures.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, demanding environment.
Excellent time management skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skill Set:
Experience in financial data management.
Project Management/ AGILE Certification(Experience as a Product Owner of a SCRUM team would be a plus)
Working knowledge of Visualization Tools (Tableau, Power BI)
5-7 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of MS suite applications is necessary, particularly SQL & Excel.
