The Lead Compensation Analyst role will focus on compensation planning, market benchmarking, and the development and implementation of competitive reward strategies. This role will bring a deep understanding of compensation structures, salary surveys, and market data analysis in the India market context, supporting the attraction, retention, and motivation of top talent.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compensation Planning & Analysis
- Collaborate with teammates to lead the annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus recommendations for India.
- Analyze internal and external compensation data to ensure competitiveness and internal equity in accordance with the compensation strategy and philosophy of the organization.
- Develop and maintain salary structures, ranges, and job levels aligned to market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Market Data Management
- Support Partner with compensation leader in compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Aon, Willis Towers Watson) and analyze market data to identify trends and provide insights.
- Build and maintain compensation databases and dashboards for internal reporting and decision-making.
- Partner with global and regional teams to align market data analysis with broader compensation strategies.
- Total Rewards Strategy & Execution
- Contribute to the development and implementation of total rewards programs tailored to the local market.
- Support long- and short-term incentive plan design and rollout.
- Assist in communication and change management initiatives related to rewards programs.
- Participate in job evaluation, leveling, and job family governance using established frameworks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with teammates, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure alignment of compensation decisions with organizational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and people leaders on compensation matters.
- Provide consultation and training to HR and line managers on compensation practices and tools.
- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Supervision
Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional HR certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) is a plus.
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in compensation or total rewards, with strong exposure to India compensation practices.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and HRIS systems e.g., Workday.
- Demonstrated experience working with compensation surveys and benchmarking tools.
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulatory guidelines related to compensation and benefits.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present data-driven insights to diverse stakeholders.
