The Communication Specialist – Digital & Emerging Technology supports internal communications at the enterprise level or within an assigned business unit. This role is responsible for developing clear, timely, and engaging employee communications that support business priorities, change initiatives, and organizational alignment.
The position partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to translate information—often related to transformation, digital initiatives, or evolving capabilities—into accessible internal messaging. While the role may support communications related to digital or emerging technologies, deep technical expertise is not required.
• Research, write, edit, and distribute internal employee communications across multiple channels, including intranet content, email communications, digital publications, presentations, and collaboration platforms.
• Support the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns aligned to business initiatives, organizational changes, and employee engagement priorities.
• Consult with business unit representatives to understand communication needs and recommend appropriate messaging approaches, channels, and timing.
• Participate in content planning, editorial calendars, and message coordination to ensure consistency and alignment across communications.
• Monitor and maintain site-based or platform content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
• Coordinate with internal partners, vendors, and freelance contributors involved in the design, production, and distribution of communication materials.
• Recommend opportunities to enhance communication practices through improved processes, tools, or use of digital platforms, consistent with enterprise standards.
• Serve as a project or team lead on assigned communication initiatives, coordinating tasks and timelines across contributors as appropriate.
• Typically five to seven or more years of experience in communications, corporate communications, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering internal communications for employee audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex or technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
• Experience managing multiple deliverables and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience supporting content strategy or editorial planning for internal communications.
• Experience delivering and maintaining digital or intranet-based content.
• Ability to identify opportunities to incorporate new tools, platforms, or approaches to improve communication effectiveness and efficiency.
• Comfort working with business, transformation, or technology-focused teams in a communications support capacity.
• Prior experience acting as a project lead or providing day-to-day guidance to contributors.
• Familiarity with emerging trends in digital communications or AI-enabled tools is a plus, but not required.
This role is suited for a communications professional who is comfortable operating in an evolving environment and who values collaboration, clarity, and continuous improvement. The position supports enterprise initiatives while maintaining a strong foundation in core internal communications practices.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $75,820.00 - $89,200.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
