In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as a key participant in overseeing lending activities for a wholesale banking business and geographic market
  • Review and research complex multifaceted, large scale, and long term business challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
  • Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead the broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and teams or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education and Nonprofit Lending sectors
  • Ability to quickly evaluate direct and operating exposure situations on short deadlines driven by the RFP process
  • Advanced credit structuring and portfolio analysis skills, with ability to evaluate complex and unique lending situations
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives involving Credit, Risk, Relationship Management, and Operations
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit policy, regulatory considerations, and risk rating methodologies
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide peers or junior portfolio managers in underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring, and credit decisioning
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to present complex credit findings and recommendations to leaders and credit partners


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time 

  • This position does not support Visa Sponsorship

  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule

  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
