Role Summary

Play a central role in enabling the next generation of investment intelligence at T. Rowe Price by helping shape the strategy, operations, and execution of the Investment AI group. This role sits at the heart of a high-profile transformation, acting as a trusted advisor to senior Investment AI leadership to ensure that advanced AI capabilities are delivered with the clarity, discipline, and pace required to create durable value for investors and clients.

As a Lead Business Manager within Investments AI, you will partner closely with AI leaders, investors, technologists, and cross-functional teams to lead key elements of strategic planning, business operations, and governance across a complex and rapidly evolving portfolio of initiatives. You will set execution standards, proactively surface risks and tradeoffs, and translate complex priorities into clear plans, decision-ready materials, and scalable operating processes — enabling leaders to focus on advancing AI-powered investment capabilities at scale while maintaining strong alignment with enterprise standards, controls, and long-term objectives.

Working across Global Investments and with partners in Technology, Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Human Resources, you will provide analytical support, resource and metrics reporting, communications, and project portfolio execution. Your work will help ensure that innovation moves quickly while remaining aligned with enterprise standards, operational rigor, and long-term investment objectives.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational backbone of Investment AI — shaping how one of the firm’s most strategic platforms executes, scales, and delivers impact across asset classes and geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex analyses across Investments and enterprise partners (Finance, Technology, Transformation Office, Market Data, Human Resources, Risk & Compliance) to evaluate business performance, resource allocation, and strategic tradeoffs; translate insights into recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Own and oversee core business management activities including expense forecasting, market data governance, business continuity planning, space planning, procurement, and departmental communications; identify risks and inefficiencies and drive resolution.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine governance frameworks, operating processes, and controls that improve execution efficiency, scalability, and risk management; establish standards adopted across teams.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to Investments GMs and Business Management leaders, shaping agendas, consolidating inputs, and advising on strategic and operational decisions.
  • Lead development of executive-level presentations, dashboards, and analyses, ensuring clarity, strategic framing, and decision-readiness.
  • Lead coordination and execution of Investment AI’s project portfolio, including prioritization, dependency management, progress tracking, and escalation of risks and constraints.
  • Oversee managerial and administrative processes (e.g., Workday transactions, access reviews), delegating execution where appropriate and ensuring accuracy, controls, and timeliness.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to quickly synthesize complex business issues and develop recommendations under ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment, working both independently and collaboratively
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, intellectually curious, and adaptable to change
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting senior investment, technology, or platform leadership in a complex organization and an understanding of emerging challenges
  • Experience with governance models, operating rhythms, and cross-functional portfolio or project management in a matrixed or complex organization
  • Investment industry experience with fluency in finance and accounting concepts (CFA not required)
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and effective working independently and in matrixed, cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrates proactive approach and is flexible with change; can also actively participate as part of a cross-functional team
