About this role:

Wells Fargo (WF) is seeking a Lead Business Growth Strategy Consultant (BGSC) to drive Treasury Management clients’ migration from paper-based payments to electronic solutions by designing and executing a comprehensive Digital Payments Initiative (DPI) that enables successful Supplier Onboarding Campaigns. This role has a direct impact on Treasury Management revenue by accelerating adoption of Commercial Card and ACH payment solutions.

The BGSC works in close partnership with Treasury Management and Commercial Card sales teams to develop and execute an effective, end‑to‑end supplier onboarding strategy that maximizes campaign outcomes. Leveraging deep knowledge of accounts payable workflows and Wells Fargo treasury products, the BGSC clearly articulates a compelling value proposition to clients and serves as a strategic differentiator in DPI discussions.

As a key resource throughout the full lifecycle of the campaign—typically 60–90 days—the BGSC ensures customer success through proactive planning, coordination, and execution. Success in this role is driven by a strong understanding of the B2B payables landscape, the ability to build trusted professional partnerships, and disciplined follow‑through supported by exceptional organization and attention to detail.


In this role, you will:

  • Proactively identify, manage, and prioritize pipeline opportunities to drive new sales and revenue growth, partnering with key stakeholders to assess customer payables needs
  • Develop customized, customer-specific baseline plans that define recommended outreach strategies to drive digital payment conversion success
  • Maintain baseline integrity throughout the campaign lifecycle, communicating adjustments to customers and internal partners in a timely and accurate manner
  • Lead client and partner kickoff calls to establish Digital Payments Initiatives (DPI) and participate in sales calls as needed to provide DPI subject matter expertise
  • Launch and manage supplier onboarding campaigns for new and existing Treasury Management clients
  • Leverage available tools, including SAO Analytics and industry insights, to help customers define clear objectives and success metrics for their DPI
  • Deliver clear, effective written and verbal communications to internal and external audiences at all organizational levels
  • Utilize tools and reporting to identify, track, and execute on key opportunities, monitoring progress and outcomes to support revenue generation
  • Educate customers on WellsOne Virtual Card adoption and acceptance, third‑party network supplier opportunities, and ACH processes to drive continued Card and ACH enrollment
  • Educate customers on Imposter Fraud, with a focus on email account takeover risk, and guide them in establishing internal risk management protocols
  • Partner closely with dedicated customer relationships to lead strategic discussions to optimize results, resolve campaign issues, manage SLAs
  • Contribute to the achievement of team and annual performance targets
  • Participate in planning and execution of tactical initiatives and projects within the Supplier Analysis & Onboarding team to support growth opportunities in assigned markets
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and policy requirements
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend optimal channels and product combinations to improve market coverage effectiveness and operational efficiency
  • Present strategic recommendations to enhance sales performance within assigned markets, exercising independent judgment while building expertise in operations, policies, procedures, and compliance
  • Collaborate with managers, colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external partners to grow market share and meet evolving customer needs


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Business Growth Strategy, Treasury Management Sales, marketing, or financial consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in Commercial Card, ACH, or B2B payables, with working knowledge of supplier enablement and electronic payment conversion
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Treasury Management, general banking products, and client sales or client support environments
  • Strong understanding of Treasury Management products, services, and the broader payables ecosystem
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast‑paced, complex environment
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong presentation and consultative communication skills, including the ability to articulate value propositions to diverse audiences
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data, track performance, and support reporting needs
  • High sense of urgency, strong personal accountability, passion for results, and unwavering commitment to ethical standards

Job Expectations:

  • Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote)
