Wells Fargo & Company

Lead Business Execution Consultant - Enterprise Incident Management - Command Center

CHARLOTTE, NC Full time

About this role:

At Wells Fargo, we believe strong business insight and disciplined problem‑solving are essential to operating safely and resiliently at scale. We’re seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant to join our Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) Command Center in Charlotte, NC.

This role sits at the intersection of every major enterprise event—technology disruptions, workplace and HR issues, Corporate Properties events, Corporate Security matters, and broader operational risks. Success in this role is not about being a singular specialist; it’s about learning how the business operates end‑to‑end, asking the right questions, and connecting the right experts at the right time.

You will operate as a resident expert and integrator—digging into details, identifying root cause themes, and partnering across the enterprise to understand impacts and drive coordinated response. When an issue emerges, you help turn ambiguity into clarity by synthesizing information, engaging subject matter experts, and translating complex situations into clear, business‑focused insight for leadership.

You’ll be part of a team that monitors global events 24/7/365, ensuring Wells Fargo can respond quickly, thoughtfully, and effectively to incidents that may affect our customers, employees, operations, or reputation.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and assess emerging events and incidents that may impact Wells Fargo’s business, people, facilities, or operations.
  • Develop real‑time business impact assessments, even when information is incomplete or evolving.
  • Proactively engage partners across Technology, HR, Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Operations, and other enterprise functions to understand what is happening and why.
  • Ask probing, analytical questions to clarify scope, root cause, severity, timing, and downstream impacts.
  • Serve as a connector and integrator of subject matter experts, ensuring the right partners are engaged and aligned during incidents.
  • Translate complex, fragmented, or highly specialized information into clear, concise business language that leaders can act on.
  • Act as a liaison between Enterprise Incident Management and core business groups before, during, and after incidents.
  • Support coordinated response efforts by synthesizing insights across multiple domains rather than solving issues in isolation.
  • Identify patterns, themes, and improvement opportunities that strengthen enterprise resiliency.
  • Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and the evolution of incident management practices.

Who You Are :

  • You are naturally curious about how businesses really work—across functions, processes, and dependencies. You are energized by ambiguity and comfortable stepping into unfamiliar territory to learn quickly and add value.
  • A self‑directed problem solver who digs into details and doesn’t wait to be told what to do next.
  • Comfortable operating in high‑stakes, time‑sensitive situations with calm judgment.
  • Skilled at building trust with partners and drawing out insight from subject matter experts.
  • Focused on understanding impact, not just symptoms.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with leaders, even when answers are still forming.
  • You do not need to be a specialist—but you are comfortable engaging with technical and non‑technical experts alike and translating their perspectives into a unified business view.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in enterprise roles that require cross‑functional coordination and influence.
  • Background in incident management, operations, resiliency, risk management, or emergency response.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with business continuity, resiliency, or enterprise risk concepts.
  • Experience with enterprise communications, reporting, or executive‑level briefings.
  • Exposure to tools that support situational awareness (e.g., business intelligence, mapping, or notification platforms such as Everbridge, ArcGIS, DataMiner).

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and make decisions Schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM ET
