Who You Will Work With:  

The vacant Lead, Business Development, KONEK, Merchants role will report to the Head, Client Relationships, Merchants and Acquirers. You will be responsible for driving commercial growth by developing and executing sales strategies and cultivating strategic merchant partnerships. This role is pivotal in expanding KONEK’s market presence and delivering innovative solutions to merchants and platform clients.

What You Will Do:  

  • Develop and implement go-to- market and sales plans to advance revenue growth across Interac products, with a focus on KONEK.

  • Drive initiatives that build revenue growth by delivering strategic partnerships and direct revenue opportunities with merchants and platform partners with focus on maximizing Annual Recurring Revenue “ARR” and customer Life-Time Value “LTV.”

  • Effectively manage the sales pipeline, overseeing all stages from lead generation through to deal closure, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent progress towards revenue targets

  • Build and deepen relationships with key stakeholders across retailers, marketplaces, system integrators, etc.

  • Understand clients’ business needs, particularly their digital payments strategies, to position Interac’ s products and services effectively.

  • Represent Interac at industry events, advisory committees, and client meetings to promote thought leadership and business development.

  • Collaborate with product development teams to share client insights, evaluate new use cases, and support the launch of innovative solutions.

  • Advocate clients internally to ensure their feedback informs future product enhancements and business processes.

What You Bring: 

  • Post secondary degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration.

  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably supporting payments, retail or tech.

  • Understand complex solution selling methodologies (e.g. SaaS / solution selling)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sales strategies and techniques and advanced proficiency with CRM tools.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. 

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.

  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders across all levels of an organization with divergent objectives.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, analytical and evaluative skills.

  • Commitment to excellence in client, shareholder, and stakeholder relations and service.

  • The ability to adapt / pivot and be comfortable with consistent business and organizational change.

  • Solid decision-making, problem resolution, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

  • Commitment to respectful collaboration with colleagues to promote efficient and constructive outcomes working with internal stakeholders.

  

What We’re Offering: 

The hiring range for this position is $170,000 to $180,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
