As a Lead Build Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our digital platforms are built, released, and deployed with speed, quality, and reliability. You’ll Make a Difference by leading build and release strategies that keep systems stable, secure, and scalable. Day-to-Day Ingredients — Responsibilities

As a Lead Build Engineer, you will:

  • Lead planning, execution, and governance of build and release processes
  • Design and enhance build, packaging, and deployment automation
  • Own mobile application releases to Apple App Store and Google Play
  • Establish deployment, monitoring, and operational tooling standards
  • Provide technical leadership for infrastructure upgrades and strategy
  • Perform capacity planning and improve build and deployment performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and release procedures
  • Design automated monitoring, recovery, and repair solutions
  • Lead disaster‑recovery planning and Tier 2 support for complex issues

What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience

As a Lead Build Engineer, you must have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in build, release, or DevOps engineering
  • Strong expertise in build automation and deployment pipelines
  • Experience supporting enterprise .NET build and release environments
  • Proven ability to lead system upgrades and large‑scale releases
  • Experience with cloud resource management and production environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions
  • Demonstrated ownership of operational stability and release quality

Extra Toppings — Desired Experience

As a Lead Build Engineer, we prefer you to have: 

  • Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD tooling
  • Hands‑on experience with monitoring, alerting, and automation tools
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and infrastructure optimization
  • Experience serving as an escalation point or DevOps subject‑matter expert
  • Strong documentation and process‑design discipline

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on‑site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast‑paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full‑time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
