Lead BizOps Engineer
The Brighterion BizOps team is looking for a Senior BizOps Engineer who can help us solve problems, build our CI/CD pipeline and lead Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices.

Role
The role of business operations is to be the production readiness steward for the platform. This is accomplished by closely partnering with developers to design, build, implement, and support technology services. A business operations engineer will ensure operational criteria like system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are implemented throughout the delivery process. Business Operations plays a key role in leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change and standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations.
Provide technical operations support for the Brighterion team with focus on minimizing impact to customers and internal users.
- This specific opportunity is for a candidate with previous technical experience on Remedy ticket system and Access MC system.
- Frequently follow up on tickets and identify areas of improvement to speed up implementation.
- Create technical CRQ, WO, REQ tickets in Remedy including supporting documents such as validation plan, blackout plan, installation plan, highest level of testing, etc.
- Submit access control and server provisioning tickets in Access MC.
- Track, monitor, and follow up on the approvals and implementation of each ticket.
- Ensure each ticket is completed on time or within SLA.
- Escalate delayed items in Remedy and Access MC.
- Schedule change as necessary to minimize downtime and impact to customer and users.
Site Reliability Engineering:
- Serve as the primary contact responsible for ensuring application scalability, performance, and resilience.
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems while taking a holistic approach to problem solving and optimizing time to recover.
- Automate data-driven alerts to proactively escalate issues. Work with development teams to establish SLOs and improve reliability.
DevOps/Automation:
- Tackle complex development, automation, and business process problems. Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Support the application CI/CD pipeline for promoting software into higher environments through validation and operational gating, and lead Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices.
- Experience on CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.
- Increase automation and tooling to reduce toil and manual intervention.
ITSM Practices:
- Achieve operational excellence by standardizing impact analysis and reporting processes in alignment with ITSM and regulatory reporting policies
- Analyses ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.
- Participate and perform annual BOMM Audits and PCI Certifications for various products to meet compliance standards at Mastercard.
- Safety & Soundness : To strengthen change governance by enhancing Configuration Item (CI) mapping in each change request.
