Lead Bartender

Your Journey 

  • Assist with leading the team, training new associates and supporting the day-to-day operations
  • Serve as a key leader in the development and execution of the property’s beverage program, helping shape the vision, voice, and guest experience across all outlets.
  • Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate guest needs
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, stocking with appropriate products and supplies
  • Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar
  • Lead the creative development and execution of seasonal cocktail menus and signature beverage offerings in collaboration with F&B leadership.
  • Drive cocktail innovation across all beverage venues, including Moonraker, Bar Pendry, and seasonal activations such as the Pool, ensuring each program remains aligned with our brand DNA, luxury positioning, and service standards.
  • Partner with leadership to curate limited releases, specialty flights, spirit features, and experiential offerings that elevate the guest journey and reinforce our positioning as a premier cocktail destination.
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies
  • Work as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders, and service staff
  • Help serve as a face of the beverage program, confidently engaging with guests, supporting media opportunities, participating in press features, and representing the brand in a polished and professional manner when appropriate.
  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
  • Ensure all cocktail creations and beverage presentations reflect craftsmanship, storytelling, consistency, and flawless execution in alignment with our luxury standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs

Must Haves  

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays  

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment  

  • One year minimum of experience in bartending  

  • Prior micros or other systems experience 

  • Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements 

  • Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over 

  • Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift 

  • Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for the Lead Bartender is $XX.00 an hour. The pay scale is the base hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position. Please let us know if you have any questions
