Key Responsibilities
- General responsibilities include but not limited to maintain daily tracking reports, update fundamental drivers for in-house commodity models and renew cost models based on required frequencies.
- Learn and write about developments on metal markets, with focuses on changes that are happening to supply, demand and trade flows.
- Quick respond to policy change and break news.
- Closely work with commercial team to deliver fresh updates timely.
- Cover on-site visits, conferences, client meetings and events as required.
- Be prepared to extend knowledge base to fit new business needs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, business or relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in research and analysis.
- Extraordinary communication skills in English, speaking, reading, writing and presenting.
- Strong quantitative skills, be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable to use large datasets and model. Tableau experience is a bonus.
- Ability to retrieve key information both through digital resources and direct people relationship.
- The role requires curious, creative, investigative and analytical mind. Meanwhile, high attention to details and high accuracy level under pressure are needed to complete research assignments efficiently.
- Experience of commodity and energy sectors would be highly advantages.
