Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.

Job Summary

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration of one or more of the following data systems: Computer systems hardware, software, information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintains installs, upgrades and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups. 
  • Performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.  
  • Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. 
  • Responsible for managing multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner. 
  • At times will also be called upon to perform tasks outside of IT to ensure the mission is successful. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position. 
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 2 years of directly related IT experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 5 years of directly related IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Requires knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking principals in a Microsoft Environment to include network topologies and transmission media, i.e. fiber, copper, satellite and Wi-Fi. 
  • Must have a current driver’s license. 
  • Must be willing and physically able to deploy to various project locations at short notice. 
  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages. 

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Previous LOGCAP experience preferred. 
  • Cisco Networking certifications. 
  • Microsoft Systems certifications.
