Program Summary

Job Summary
As a Maintenance Mechanic – General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations for tracked and wheeled military vehicles, including M1 Abrams tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, MRAPs, HMMWVs, JLTVs and other platforms and systems. This role provides strategic leadership, ensures compliance with U.S. Army regulations and contract requirements, and manages personnel, budgets, and resources to maintain fleet readiness and operational efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct and manage multiple maintenance teams and foremen across tracked and wheeled vehicle sections.
- Develop maintenance plans, schedules, and priorities to meet mission requirements.
- Provide mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development for staff.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to technical standards.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Enforce compliance with Army regulations (AR 750-1, TMs) and safety standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records in GCSS-Army and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Manage budgets for labor, parts, and equipment.
- Coordinate with supply chain for procurement and inventory control.
- Optimize resource utilization and reduce downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
- Participate in high-level planning meetings with senior leadership and government representatives.
- Prepare operational and performance reports for management and client review.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maintenance Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 6–8 years in military vehicle maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
- Expert knowledge of tracked and wheeled vehicle systems (M1 Abrams, Bradley, MRAP, JLTV HMMWV).
- Proficiency in GCSS-Army and Army maintenance procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Army Tracked and Wheeled Vehicle License.
- MOS-related technical certifications (91A, 91M, 91B preferred).
- Ability to work in austere environments and manage large teams.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must currently have or possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
