The R2R Manager for Latin America is responsible for leading and overseeing all Record-to-Report (R2R) activities across the region. This role manages teams dedicated to financial reporting, contract accounting, job cost, and S2P/AP activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all accounting processes. The position requires a strong technical foundation in accounting and business management, as well as deep familiarity with the Otis business model to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment. The manager is expected to maintain a hands-on approach, supporting both leadership and team members in daily activities, while also engaging directly with complex analyses, large datasets, and audit-related requirements.
The professional in this role must be able to communicate and present financial information in a clear and compelling manner to support leadership decision-making. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential, along with the ability to work independently on data analysis when needed. This position requires flexibility to travel within Latin America and fluency in English (advanced) plus Spanish or Portuguese.
What You Will Achieve in This Role
Ensure the precise, timely, and aligned execution of all R2R activities across Latin America, reinforcing the quality and consistency of financial information.
Strengthen preparedness for internal and external audits by leading interactions with auditors and ensuring the proper resolution of findings.
Elevate the analytical depth of financial reports, generating insights that enhance business performance visibility and support strategic decision‑making.
Drive operational discipline and accounting controls, promoting continuous improvement and process standardization throughout the region.
Transform complex financial information into clear and impactful presentations for leadership, improving comprehension and the overall impact of results.
Contribute to strengthening regional financial governance through hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and technically strong leadership
Responsibilities
Lead all R2R processes across Latin America, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with global standards.
Oversee teams responsible for financial reporting, contract accounting, job cost, and S2P/AP, ensuring high‑quality month‑end close and reconciliations.
Manage full audit cycles—internal and external—driving transparency, timely delivery of information, and effective collaboration with audit entities.
Work directly with large data sets to conduct independent analyses and develop key financial insights for leadership.
Present complex financial information clearly and adaptably for diverse audiences, strengthening decision‑making across the region.
Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and standardization.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and business units across multiple countries, including periodic travel within Latin America.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and managing internal and external audits.
Deep understanding of the Otis business and its operational dynamics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex databases and perform independent analyses.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop high‑level presentations and reports.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information clearly and professionally.
Ability to lead regional teams, manage multiple priorities, and operate with a hands‑on mindset.
Advanced English required, along with fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
