Summary of the Job:
The role is part of the Global Ruminant Business Unit reporting to the Species Lead. The Regional Ruminant Business Lead is a key role ensuring alignment between the Global Organization (not only global marketing), and the Regional Commercial organizations for all initiatives relating to the execution of the specific Business Unit strategy. The position will be the voice of the Global Ruminant Business Unit with Regional Leadership and the voice of the Region within the Global Ruminant Business Unit.
With a strong emphasis on project execution, the initial focus of the role will be the implementation of the various business initiatives detailed in the Specie Strategy. The position requires the individual to plan, lead, and support the execution of business initiatives that enable success for the enterprise. This will require frequent interaction with senior leaders across multiple functions and within the respective region to refine the project planning, adapt to changes in project execution, identify & communicate risks / issues and ensure delivery of the agreed Roadmap priorities.
The individual will measure the success and value added of each initiative using defined and verifiable metrics/outcomes and relay these results across the organization (Regional Leadership, Global Species Leads, Global Marketing Lead, R&D team, Manufacturing team, etc.)
Business initiatives can include but are not limited to those detailed in the Specie Strategy for the attributed region, and may be complemented by projects with a global scope in connection with new product launch excellence and deployment, development and/or deployment of innovative business models, creation of integrated biopharma and technology solution offering, customer segmentation, etc.
Essential Accountabilities:
• The individual will be responsible to deliver the key business objectives of the Ruminant Business Unit in the respective region. Initially the focus will be the alignment and execution of the business initiatives detailed in the Specie Strategy and Marketing Plans.
• The priority business initiatives and projects will evolve over time.
• Work with Regional & Country Leadership and Global Ruminant Lead to ensure alignment on the necessary resources to execute the priorities in the relevant markets.
• Support the markets to build and achieve the objectives for the business initiatives.
• Promote effective communication and engagement with commercial operations of the region, as required via visits and organizing regional business meetings.
• Assist the RVPs and Country GMs to maximize the results in their respective territories in line with the enterprise objectives as detailed in the Specie Strategy and Marketing Plans. This will involve but is not limited to the development and implementation of the Regional Business and Marketing Plans, aligned with the Global Species Business plans, with the participation of key country colleagues and ensuring periodic monitoring reports.
• Maintain regular feedback and clear communication with other stakeholders, e.g. Global Species Leads, and all Support functions.
• Align with key markets on the performance targets and monitor KPIs.
Scope and Context:
The position can be based at an Animal Health office or Remote location (by agreement) within the relevant Region.

Minimum Qualifications:
Background & Education:
Minimum Bachelor degree, Masters degree and/or MBA are highly desirable.
Travel Requirements:
up to 50% travel, including international travel
Required Skills/Abilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• 8+ years of work experience, including but not limited to commercial, marketing and operational experience.
• Experience of working successfully in a matrix environment and/or leading cross-functional teams and facilitating continuous improvement efforts collaboratively with team and peers across the organization.
• Broad critical thinking and skills for strategic decision-making & execution, as well as thoughtful consideration of programs, projects, and engagements.
• Deep understanding of the Animal Health Industry, particularly the Ruminant Production sector (e.g. products, customers, competitors, etc.) and industry trends, primarily in the region of interest. Although the position has a regional focus, understanding the impact of regional decisions on the Global business is equally important.
• Excellent business acumen, a positive attitude, a collaborative approach with a curious & open mind.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, ability to work & solve problems in a fast-paced, complex environment and adapt to change.
• Demonstrated track record of success in current and prior roles, consistently delivering on goals and showing continued progression in developing skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities, including intercultural and interpersonal skills with a natural aptitude to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership and across the organization, regardless of hierarchy.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency including MS Office.
• Must be fluent in English: oral, written and comprehension; knowledge of additional language is advantageous.
