About the Business Function:
Lilly International Business Unit Solution Services (IBU SS) is accountable for “Delivery” and “Operational" Excellence of the application portfolio and services consumed by the commercial affiliates within the international geography. Quality is at the center of everything we must do. Working across 120+ countries, IBU SS delivers that meet business needs across digital capabilities, data and analytics, machine learning and AI solutions; supports the operations via service management (support), and maintains the quality posture to those services through a diverse and high-performing team located across 19 countries. LATAM, as a region is the business unit responsible for business operations in Latin America. Columbia is an affiliate within LATAM which is supported by the business partner organization.
Job Title: LATAM Quality and Columbia Tech Lead
LATAM Quality and Columbia Tech Lead supports LATAM in two main ways. Firstly, accountable for the quality posture for the region, ensuring IT and business area resources appropriately fulfil specific regulatory, IT and business requirements to deliver high quality products and services. Serves as quality resource for projects and monitors/reviews deliverables ensuring standards are above expectations. Works proactively to ensure quality and compliance posture is raised for LATAM.
Secondly, as Colombia Tech@Lilly Leader is responsible to enable Colombia Affiliate to achieve key business priorities through the effective and efficient coordination of the Tech initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment across LATAM. This role will “account manage” as part of the Columbia leadership to enable business effectiveness by identifying opportunities leveraging on technology. Acts as implementation leader of the major initiatives in Colombia and coordinates the replication to the Hub. Will drive OCM and adoption.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will embody the Team Lilly values, keeping the Tech team accountable on them.
- You will manage, when needed, employees, contractors, interns, and students, in order to ensure their high performance, engagement and advancement.
- You will collaborate closely with IBU Solution Services (delivery, support, quality), as well as with LATAM Hub, and broader IBU and global resources.
- You will leverage your knowledge of AI and Automation to streamline processes, simplify, eliminate and automate where possible the project deliverables.
As LATAM Quality Lead:
- Collaborate with customers and peers in the application of policies, procedures, and regulations with a focus on addressing situation-specific quality concerns that could potentially alter the course of process guidance or execution
- Serving as a subject-matter expert (SME) collaborate with the IT project leaders to interpret or explain the guidelines regarding system validation
- Lead and champion IT quality assurance across LATAM by ensuring all deliverables and change requests meet regulatory, IT, and business standards, and by proactively resolving compliance-related matters.
- Facilitate training, periodic reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to embed Computer Systems Quality (CSQ) policies and procedures into local practices and SOPs.
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all validation deliverables, change requests, and documentation, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.
- Influence technology configuration and process execution by setting quality criteria, coaching stakeholders, and translating global standards into actionable local guidance.
As Columbia Tech Lead:
- To lead the major projects implementation in Colombia and to drive the replication to the hub, as applicable.
- To manage the Tech portfolio in Colombia, defining the roadmap, aligning with LATAM HUB and IBU priorities and tracking the progress.
- To ensure consistency of Tech processes across the hub
- To act as primary PoC to collect issues/improvement inputs of the deployed platforms, in order to coordinate the effort to influence the resolution of issues/the implementation of improvements.
- To engage with leadership and key business stakeholders and proactively seek opportunities for Tech to deliver business value.
- To play a leading role in the Hub transformation journey, driving the digitalization acceleration in terms of influencing leadership decisions, building capabilities, driving a mindset shift and implementing innovative solutions to streamline and automate processes.
How You Will Succeed:
- You will provide measurable improvement to the quality posture in the region by ensuring compliance to standards, and proactively raising the bar of the existing portfolio.
- Is accountable for determining validation applied to project deliverables
- You will identify and drive opportunities with regional LATAM and Solution Services to enable business outcomes for Columbia and LATAM.
- Ensures quality deliverables meet regulatory, IT, and business expectations
- Ensures system owners, system custodians, and project teams are knowledgeable of their responsibilities in defining, producing, approving deliverables.
- Escalates and resolves compliance-related matters
- Streamline delivery, quality and support processes for the region, with the application of tech, process optimization and automation tools.

Basic Qualifications and Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in at least 3 of the following: IT service delivery, quality, or global or international experience, business partnership, incident management.
- Experience of optimising, eliminating and automation processes.
- Experience in delivering results through people, contractors, external services providers, internal teams.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Proven IT Account Management experiences and skills
- Proven business acumen and learning agility
- Demonstrated teamwork and understanding of cultural and cross functional diversity
- Strong in adopting to transformation journey and lead team to deliver result with sense of urgency.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Domain experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Partner with and influence vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions as well as delivery
- Working experience on Cloud – AWS / Azure
