LATAM Payroll Analyst

Job Description

Our Global Payroll department is looking for an experienced self-motivated system savvy LATAM Payroll Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Sr Manager Global Payroll, the LATAM Payroll Analyst will work closely with the Accounting, People Ops and Benefits teams. The LATAM Payroll Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of all LATAM payroll cycles and payroll associated tasks. 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform a variety of payroll functions in preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll.  Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. 

  • Ensure the accurate and timely end to end processing of payroll in LATAM region

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, or the payroll process.

  • Assist with all payroll related audits & SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for all payroll related processes.

  • Process and complete all year-end activities to ensure compliance with regard to filing reports, remittances and returns with appropriate tax authorities.

  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Requires a minimum of 3+ years’ experience with full-cycle payroll processing in LATAM countries.(e.g. Brazil and Mexico)

  • Experience in termination Calculation, Holidays, Tax, e-Social, FGTS, INSS, IMSS, SURA, Infonavit, etc.

  • 3 years Accounting/Finance background or similar college diploma/degree.

  • Payroll qualification/certification preferred.

  • Experience working in a high-tech, high-growth company preferred 

  • Workday experience is a plus.

Requirements 

  • Current experience and in-depth knowledge of payroll systems and reporting functions

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) and strong overall computer literacy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; strong multitasking skills and adaptability to shifting priorities

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Energetic, self-motivated, “can-do” attitude with the ability to hit the ground running

  • Portuguese/Spanish language skills and understanding of Mexico legal requirements are a plus

Please note that anyone hired into this position must be physically located in and plan to work from Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
