Laser Manufacturing Engineer

Singapore Full time

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laser test benches, optical setups, electrical and mechanical fixtures.
  • Ensure high equipment uptime and availability to support production targets.
  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs for production and test equipment.
  • Perform product validation, verification, and release activities.
  • Conduct detailed failure analysis on defective laser units and components.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
  • Monitor and drive production KPIs including First Pass Yield (FPY), Defective Parts Rate, Test Yield, Equipment Uptime
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, quality, and productivity.
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical issues.



Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Optics, Photonics, or related field.
  • Min. 3 years of relevant experience in laser manufacturing, optical systems, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of Fiber lasers, optical components, beam profiling and power measurements.
  • Experience in optical alignment and optical troubleshooting


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient with Failure Analysis & Root Cause Tools
  • Familiar with Manufacturing & Process Engineering
  • Strong analytical skills using Excel, Minitab, JMP, Python, or similar tools.
  • Experience in technical reporting and documentation capability.
