Salary Range: $89508 - $116362 Per Year
Job Summary: This position is permanent, career-seasonal. Career-seasonal positions are guaranteed to work at least 6 months but not more than 50 weeks per year and include all the benefits of permanent employment. The nonpay/nonduty time for this positions is expected to be a two week period in November or early December but can vary due to project requirements or weather conditions. This position is located in the Division of Facility Management and Operations.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-03/24/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect either full-time or 40 hours per week. If a part-time work schedule is reflected, the hours must be annotated to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. To qualify for this position you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: Basic Requirements: A degree in landscape architecture or landscape design OR For each year short of graduation, one year of experience under professional leadership and guidance of such character and diversity as to be a satisfactory substitute for the required education. This experience must have included original landscape design. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: reviewing, planning and developing designs for construction, repair or maintenance projects; preparing contract design and construction packages; development, execution and project management of multiple projects; knowledge of project management principles and concepts; applying the technical principles, practices, procedures of project development; managing contractors or similar. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 grade level. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
