Essential Responsibilities:
Supports the hydrovac operator, contributing to a smooth hydro-excavation process for underground utility construction
Ensures the safe and successful completion of hydrovac operations
Completes regular vehicle maintenance checks and associated paperwork
Keeps crew vehicles clean and organized at all times
Works with crew members to perform daily tasks, including excavating pits, rodding and roping conduits, placing underground cables in conduits, assisting with directional bore operations, and removing and replacing concrete and asphalt
Operates equipment and lifts heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)
Assists with restoring job sites to their original condition
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Qualifications:
DZ driver’s license preferred but not required
Experience working in underground utility construction, civil construction, or landscaping is an asset
Ability to read underground telecommunication plans and work maps is an asset
Experience operating and maintaining mini excavators, skid steers, and backhoes
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle a broad range of activities
Technically adept, with a strong ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and solve problems
Clean driver’s abstract required

Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations
Working outdoors in various weather conditions
Compensation
$27.40 - $36.35 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
