[What the role is]
The laboratory officer will be involved in basic routine laboratory activities and support the quality assurance activities as required or assigned.[What you will be working on]
(a) Conduct basic testing activities and generate test results for samples assigned
(b) Operate, maintain and calibrate assigned instruments and equipment and prepare performance and maintenance records for accreditation
(c) Support other quality assurance initiative and activities
(d) Support laboratory administrative initiatives as assigned
(e) Participate in any work improvement projects and cross-functional activities for HSA as assigned
[What we are looking for]
Background in Chemistry or related field
• Basic Laboratory experiences
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team
• Must be meticulous and have good organization skills
• Able to work effectively with people from different backgrounds
• Highly motivated with strong desire to protect public health and safety
The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
