Overview:

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA is hiring an experienced Lab Manager to work full time.

The Laboratory Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for laboratory operations within a Sentara facility. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Analyzes patient data and suggests physician protocol for confirming patient diagnosis; acts as a consultant to pathologists, physicians, and other team members; identifies needs and implements training to ensure laboratory staff competency.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (required)

Certification/Licensure

  • ASCP or AMT certification (required)

Experience

  • 3 years of laboratory leadership experience (required)
