Process specimens under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, including those collected for the repository or on behalf of other investigators and clinical trials, in accordance with all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform specimen banking for long-term storage for the repository or other investigators, ensuring compliance with established SOPs.
Distribute samples as assigned.
Follow the laboratory’s quality assurance plan to ensure accurate execution of laboratory processes, including daily quality control activities.
Adhere to all laboratory standard operating procedures. Participate in reviewing SOP’s for accuracy on an annual basis.

Work Experience:
2 years of relevant work experience. Relevant education may substitute on a year for year basis.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other science related area.
Work Experience:
Experience with HIPAA guidelines and research regulations.
Experience with medical terminology.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
