A Day in the Life 

As a Laboratory Technician Assistant, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.   

The compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.   

Schedule: Monday - Friday

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  

• Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
• Cleaning laboratory glassware and laboratory areas
• Maintaining organized records of sample disposal
• Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency or accuracy of analyses
• Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
• Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
• Comply with Health and Safety Plan
• Other duties as assigned by Group Leaders or the Technical Director

Your Expertise and Skills

• High School Diploma
• Basic Excel skills required
• Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
• Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
• Excellent communication skills required
• Detail oriented
• ​Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
• Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good organizational skills and strong communication skills

• Sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifting 50 pounds several times a day
• Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
• Works in an office and/or laboratory environment
• Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions
• May occasionally work shifts up to 12 hours in duration
