Labor Relations Specialist [Queretaro Site]

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This facility will offer 1,200 local new jobs and will be the first health manufacturing facility in Querétaro (pioneers for healthcare Hub).

Main Purpose of the Role
Participate in a variety of employee relations activities to minimize the negative impact of individual employee grievances or collective labor disputes.
Main Responsibilities.
- Interpret and administer the organization’s collective agreements and individual employment contracts so that they are applied in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, and the organization’s employment policies and standards.
- Conduct research and analysis on employee relations issues so that other managers, legal counsel, mediators, and external consultants are well-prepared for bargaining, negotiation, and dispute resolution procedures.
- Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution procedures with employees, unions, employer bodies, government agencies, labor relations authorities, and other relevant agencies so that the organization's interests are protected.
- Keep up-to-date with the employee relations climate in the organization and the industry and with proposed and actual changes in employee relations regulations, so that the organization’s employee relations policies remain current and relevant

Experience.
- 3 years of experience as Labor Relations, Administer and monitor collective and individual labor contracts. Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Resolve labor situations and address employee complaints.
- Coordinate disciplinary processes and labor audits.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to labor relations.
- Advise leaders and internal areas on legal and labor matters.
- Experience working in matrix environment organizations.
Education.- BA Degree, Psychology, Administration or similar.
Languages.- Intermediate English.
