The Micron Legal Department is seeking an experienced legal professional to support our in-house labor and employment legal team. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel for Global Labor & Employment, this role supports legal matters that routinely involve sensitive employee and company information, and require a high degree of trust, discretion, and independent judgment. The position operates at a global level and involves close, ongoing collaboration with other legal teams, human resources, employee relations, compliance, and business partners across multiple regions and time zones. Success in this role requires flexibility to support matters that may arise outside standard business hours and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
What You’ll Do:
Support and manage a high volume of legal matters across multiple workstreams, including employee relations issues, internal investigations, litigation support, and administrative or regulatory matters, many of which involve sensitive employee and company information
Assist with the drafting, review, and maintenance of legal documents such as policies, agreements, correspondence, and compliance or training materials, exercising care and judgment when handling confidential content
Maintain and organize legal records, matter files, and document management systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and appropriate handling of sensitive and privileged information
Conduct legal and factual research and assist attorneys with analysis related to legal and compliance matters
Support attorneys in responding to claims, audits, subpoenas, and agency inquiries, balancing business objectives with Company’s legal, fiduciary, and ethical obligations. Occasional support for attorney's administrative tasks such as expense reports, travel, and meeting scheduling may be requested
Partner closely with legal, HR, ER, and Compliance teams on global initiatives and time-sensitive matters, coordinating across regions and supporting work that may require early morning or evening availability
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years’ experience supporting attorneys in an in-house legal department or comparable law firm environment, as a legal practice assistant, paralegal, or similar legal operations role, with broad exposure to both corporate and litigation matters
Demonstrated experience supporting legal workstreams that involve confidential, sensitive, or privileged information, including investigations, litigation support, regulatory or administrative filings, and cross-functional legal initiatives; experience with employment-related matters is a plus
Strong understanding of legal processes, including document lifecycle management, matter tracking, and coordination across legal and business teams
Proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and company information, with a consistent track record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with legal, HR, compliance, and business partners across regions, cultures, and time zones
High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-organized, and reliable work product in a dynamic environment
Strong organizational skills, independence, and adaptability, with the ability to manage competing priorities while supporting multiple attorneys and global matters that may span time zones
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor degree in a related field; Experience with e-billing, matter management, or document management systems.
Experience demonstrating high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to spot issues and escalate appropriately.
