Job Description
Lab Technician who is responsible for coordinating the packaging, transport, and tracking of pathology specimens across multiple campus locations, ensuring timely delivery, accurate case assignment, and seamless communication between couriers, pathologists, and support staff. The role includes preparing and processing specimen requests, verifying documentation, utilizing laboratory systems such as IHIS Beaker and QGenda, and applying pathology knowledge to support clinicians, investigators, and clinical trials. Additional responsibilities include training new staff, maintaining organized slide archives, monitoring outstanding cases, managing supply inventory and equipment needs, and supporting departmental operations through quality control activities, mail distribution, and ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Clinical Laboratories / Lab Services - Individual Contributor - Technical - T2 Experienced
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
