36Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our Lab Technical Leader team supporting our Microbiology department.

What You'll Do:
As a Lab Technical Leader in Microbiology, you’ll play a critical role in our mission to provide exceptional patient care. From performing and analyzing diagnostic tests to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our services, your work will directly impact the health and lives of countless individuals. You will utilize your knowledge and experience to oversee and lead day-to-day operations of our Microbiology department, including testing, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance, support, delegation, and clinical laboratory expertise for Medical Laboratory Scientists and support staff within the department in a manner that promotes collaboration with internal and external customers, while working with the medical and laboratory directors. You will work with the other section leaders to maintain high-quality standards and ensure the laboratory operations function efficiently and oversee skills rosters and competency testing of staff. You will be responsible for maintaining all regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility including quality control and assurance documentation, reporting, review and implementation of SOPs, and implementation of corrective actions as necessary. You will support management decisions and communicates noncompliance to management. Other duties as assigned.
What's Available:
Fulltime - 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
Monday through Friday day shift (start times between 4a to 7:30a) with every sixth weekend rotation
Starting pay of $31.96 per hour and up, based on your years of experience
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Medical Lab Science/Technology or equivalent is required
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Technologist (MT) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in high complexity testing and Clinical Microbiology
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and methodologies used in Microbiology processing and testing
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with quality control standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety protocols.
