We are seeking a Laboratory Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

In this role, you will perform routine testing procedures to generate accurate data for clinical trials research, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform routine specimen analysis and document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate validity of analytical results using lab computer system algorithms.
  • Identify and escalate unusual results or potential performance errors to senior personnel.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis and manage post-analysis sample and reagent storage.
  • Conduct secondary review of analytical results when qualified.
  • Assist in writing new laboratory procedures and maintain good housekeeping aligned with 6S standards.
  • Notify staff of supply shortages and communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuing education and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Technology (required for some CAP/CLIA labs).
  • Minimum 6 months relevant laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, GLP, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Understanding of laboratory safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical handling.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain effective reporting procedures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with attention to detail in a regulated environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $34,700.00 - $72,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
