PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Coordinate the activities of the team to achieve its business objectives by
Properly managing the assigned resources.
Developing the technical skills and leadership of team members.
Implementing KHMS guidelines and performance board standards that guarantee the achievement of the results is sustainable.
Foster positive partnership with leadership and other team members. Develop capability and efficiency of the team including providing direct mentoring to team members. Provide break relief for teammates as needed.
Ensure close alignment with the line strategy and effective application of all work processes required for the elimination of losses.

Deliver Business targets at shift level
· Lead team to develop and implement shift plan.
· Lead gap analysis and execution of action plans required to close gaps through Equipment and System Owners.
· Lead Daily Management Systems (DMS) implementation and performance board rituals.
· Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes. Must report and/or correct unsafe acts or conditions as well as perform work safely, including following GMP and PPE guidelines.
· Ensure procedures and operating procedures are followed by the team.

Develop capability and effectiveness of the team.
· Coach and mentor team members, helping them get qualified for the role assigned to them.
· Relieve operators for breaks
· Manage vacation, over time, absenteeism and cover operating position on the team as needed

Lead problem-solving activities.
· Own the Work & Development Plan process and results review process (performance board huddle) with the team and the line.
· Mentor and participate in loss elimination projects.
· Coordinate activities required to restore production when the line goes down.
· Support team member to find solutions to sophisticated issues by using 6W2H and 5 whys.
· Analyze trends on results and systems to find opportunities and set action plans to deliver target results.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
· LEADERSHIP: Capability to manage a team and deliver the targets required. Basic skills on situational leadership, mediation, effective mentoring, communication/advocating and personal development.
· TECHNICAL: Ability to complete maintenance procedures (PM’s) without help. Basic operation, adjustment and repair of the line assigned. General SOPs application including safety, GMP and food safety related. Must meet pre-qualification criteria. Ability to troubleshoot issues on highly mechanical lines (timing, alignment, etc). Ability to use computer for access to multiple computer systems
· LOSS ELIMINATION: Ability to identify and eliminate losses.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 60 pounds;
holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment; disassemble
and reassemble equipment.
