Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aerospace propulsion systems, seeks a highly qualified Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) Representative to support the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) in Korea. The selected individual will provide hands-on expertise, technical advice, and informal training on the installation, operation, and maintenance of PW F100 engines. The objective is to elevate the technical skills of ROKAF personnel, ensuring self-sufficiency and operational excellence.

What Will You Do

  • Act as a liaison between the customer (ROKAF) and the original equipment manufacturer (Pratt & Whitney), ensuring timely communication of technical information regarding maintenance and engineering issues. 

  • Provide on-site, informal training to personnel on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, inspection, and repair of the PW F100 engine & advise on the use of special tools, handling equipment, and test equipment associated with the PW F100 engine including the application of technical orders. 

  • Develop and deliver local informal training programs tailored to unit needs, emphasizing safety precautions throughout all sessions & demonstrate best practices for installing modifications and retrofit kits to enhance system performance with the goal of enhancing safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the PW F100 engine. 

  • Analyze and provide guidance on maintenance challenges, suggesting improvements and value-added training programs to enhance quality and safety and at the same time Offer technical advice to resolve complex and unusual maintenance issues.

  • Submit monthly status reports on maintenance activities to both P&W & IEMP teams and when required Assist in accident investigations and prepare Root Cause Analysis and related reports, as requested. 

  • Professionalism with the ability to collaborate effectively with military and civilian personnel using tact and diplomacy while maintaining seamless liaison with ROKAF and Pratt & Whitney stakeholders to ensure mission success.    

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of business, engineering, or program / depot management or An advanced degree with 5 years of of business, engineering, or program / depot management

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to analyze data and develop metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes

  • Strong theoretical knowledge and practical maintenance skills specific to the PW F100 engine.    

  • Expertise in instructional methods and the ability to teach complex technical concepts effectively, both orally and in writing. 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Working knowledge of military engine/module overhauls & repair process

  • Working knowledge of USAF Intermediate & Depot level Technical Orders

  • Business, Material and/or Logistics management knowledge

  •  Strong Leadership, organizational, communication & presentation skills

  • International business experience as well as previous customer-facing and program management experience

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision, managing all outlined tasks autonomously.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
