OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry. We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Manager to establish and sustain a unified knowledge management program. Under the direction of the OES T&I Team Lead, this role will oversee the development of a central process library, standardize documentation across OES’s operations, and ensure employees can easily access the information they need to perform their work safely, efficiently, and consistently.
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations, process, and technology—someone who can translate how work gets done into structured, searchable knowledge that connects people and systems. This role will collaborate closely with DPR’s Knowledge Management team to ensure OES knowledge systems and practices align with enterprise strategy where appropriate, while remaining tailored to OES’s unique business needs. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with OES cross-functional teams to design and lead the implementation of OES’s process library as the single source of truth for operational processes and best practices.
Document standard business processes for all departments and roles in partnership with subject matter experts from the business.
Maintain OES knowledge base and process libraries, as well as the OES-specific content on the DPR intranet that DPR employees rely on to work effectively with OES.
Develop metadata structures, templates, and governance models that make process information easy to maintain and find.
Ensure metadata and structuring decisions support future integration opportunities with OES operational systems and DPR enterprise KM where appropriate.
Integrate the process library with existing OES business systems (e.g., ERP, inventory, safety, HR) to create seamless access to relevant information.
Establish governance workflows for process creation, review, and approval.
Maintain content quality by developing standards for documentation, formatting, and version control.
Build contributor guidelines and train OES employees on how to submit or update content.
Promote consistent use of OES’s process library and knowledge resources through training, onboarding, and communication.
Measure system usage and incorporate employee feedback to identify improvements and drive continuous adoption of OES’s knowledge resources.
Develop clear contributor guidelines and maintain training materials to onboard new content contributors and maintain long-term content quality.
Partner with DPR’s KM team to ensure shared knowledge (e.g., safety practices, benefits, ordering processes) is accessible across both organizations where appropriate, and to align on taxonomy and governance standards.
Collaborate with OES business units and DPR counterparts to identify opportunities for knowledge integration and shared taxonomy.
Serve as the primary liaison to DPR’s Knowledge Management team for system alignment, governance practices, and cross-company integration opportunities.
Represent OES in cross-company KM initiatives that support the broader enterprise knowledge ecosystem.
Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
Able to work effectively across multiple teams and levels.
Flexible and able to adjust to process changes.
Effectively manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently.
Curiosity and ability to translate operational expertise into structured, usable knowledge.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Construction Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in knowledge management, operations systems, process documentation, or related disciplines, including collaborating with diverse stakeholders, leadership, end users and external vendors.
Demonstrated experience building or managing a knowledge base, process library, or similar repository.
Experience designing or implementing process documentation standards, including templates, workflows, and review cycles.
Experience administering or maintaining content in enterprise platforms (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow, Confluence or similar).
Knowledge of commercial construction, rental equipment, and supply chain processes and workflows and financials is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a computer screen.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Occasional domestic travel may be required for meetings (estimated at a maximum quarterly but may flex based on project or program needs).
While this is a hybrid role with most time being spent working from home, attendance at important meetings and events at the local OES Equipment/DPR office is required.
