The Opportunity:
As a Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist, you will support a multi-team Agile software development program by designing, implementing, and maintaining structured knowledge-sharing practices that enhance program execution, reduce operational risk, and improve organizational maturity.
You will work across Product, Development, Test, DevOps, and Program Management functions to ensure critical technical, process, and operational knowledge is captured, organized, and readily accessible. Your efforts will directly support program continuity, compliance readiness, and long-term scalability.
Responsibilities:
• Establishing and maintaining centralized knowledge repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms).
• Developing standardized documentation templates and governance processes.
• Ensuring documentation is version-controlled, searchable, and aligned with program structure and contract requirements.
• Capturing lessons learned from Agile ceremonies, production incidents, and major releases.
• Maintaining Agile process playbooks, workflow documentation, and team operating procedures.
• Coordinating documentation of system architecture, cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and integrations.
• Supporting onboarding through structured guides and role-based reference materials.
• Assisting with documentation traceability for audits, cybersecurity compliance, and contract deliverables.
• Documenting Agile metrics definitions and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and transparency.
• Capture and distribute clear, concise meeting minutes for key program forums (e.g., sprint ceremonies, leadership syncs, technical reviews), documenting decisions, action items, and follow-ups to ensure accountability and knowledge continuity.
Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in knowledge management, technical documentation, process improvement, or related field within a software development environment.
• Experience supporting Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to organize complex technical and operational information into structured, accessible formats.
• Experience with collaboration and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, Git-based tools).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired:
• Experience supporting government or regulated programs.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
• Agile or Knowledge Management certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe, ITIL, KM certification).
• Strong grammatical/editing skills.
• Experience with desktop publishing applications.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
