About the role

Come work in our busy production kitchen, a cook fresh facility producing 60,000+ meals each month.  Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Kitchen Supervisor / Breakfast Chef to join our healthcare food services team. This role is ideal for an early riser 4:00 AM start who takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and maintaining excellent kitchen standards in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast meals to a high standard for patients
  • Supervise morning kitchen operations and support kitchen staff
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health regulations are always followed
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and kitchen management
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior chef or a Kitchen Supervisor
  • 5+ years’ experience in large volume food production in a kitchen production unit
  • Experience working in healthcare, aged care, or high-volume kitchens preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to lead a large team and work independently
  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to start at 4:00 AM
  • Good communication and organisational skills
