Kitchen Assistant (Washroom) - Food Services

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Food Production Washroom Kitchen Assistant to work in our production kitchen at St Vincent’s Private Hospital to maintain high levels of professional standards in servicing patients across St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Campus.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital production kitchen is a cook fresh facility with a high quality food safety accredited meal service, producing more than 60,000 meals per month. This is a large team of approx. 40 staff in this busy kitchen. You will be directly managed by the kitchen supervisor, them reporting to the Head chef.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Cleaning and Washing up responsibilities

  • Utilisation of 2 large commercial dishwashers

  • Correct application of chemicals for cleaning purposes

  • Following processes for stock and equipment

  • Adhering to a daily time schedule.

Your skills and experience:

As an outstanding Food Services Washroom Assistant, you are master at understanding of hygiene, and you are equipped with experience working within a hospital food services setting or hospitality environment or worked in a cleaning capacity previously.

Your skills will include:

  • Working in a teamwork environment

  • Awareness of WHS responsibilities

  • Able to follow Instructions and food safety principles

  • Attention to detail

  • Previous experience in washrooms/cleaning

  • Time management skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Flexibility to cover shifts over 7 days

  • Willingness to work in the evenings

  • Punctuality
