Responsible for contributing to the sales and margin growth of partner retail and wholesale business in China by directly managing the sales and appointed distribution channels.
Accountable for delivering set revenue and budget according to Brand objectives. Optimizing all our resources (retail marketing, VM, merchandising, promotions…), manage all initiatives to deliver against our Sales, Margin and Profitability goals.
Builds and develops excellent business relationships with the Deckers brands’ brand personnel, Deckers Corp employees, the regional office and key partner retailers / wholesales retailers. Develops collaborative and partnership relationships internally and externally.
50% STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
Responsible for managing and executing the Deckers brands sales strategy in China ensuring the achievement of brand objectives, brand representation, sales and gross margin across all business channels.
- Identifies brand and product growth opportunities at market level to ensure maximization of sales across all existing and potentially new product categories.
- Liaise with the GMM, demand planning team, operations team to ensure accurate forecasting and buying to forecast, as per the critical path and oversee the logistics and inventory control.
- Directs business channels on product line merchandising, selection and selling strategy as appropriate.
- Plans and organize seasonal trade shows for partner retailers and wholesale retailers and lead them to placing seasonal PO in line with budget plan.
- Identifies new distribution and retail opportunities and evaluates potential new/existing business plans - make recommendations on the appointment/renewal of retailer agreements.
30% TEAM COOPERATION
Works with Product management, marketing and training to ensure the seasonal sell in packages and VM are appropriate, complete and are communicated effectively, both internally and externally. Focuses on segmentation strategy support.
- Participates in the key brand meetings, to include the seasonal finalization, launch meetings and regional meetings.
- Identifies and recommends potential areas for brand marketing investment to drive brand awareness and sales, above and beyond local activity.
- Identifies potential product collaborations that are in keeping with the brand strategy and makes recommendations to the product team for approval.
