General Description:

Member of BeiGene's access team professionals whose objective is to map and interact with stakeholders in the market. The Key Account Manager is a professional responsible for managing business relationships with key customers with the aim of expanding access, increasing sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In a highly complex healthcare ecosystem, he/she is responsible for leading multifunctional teams within key accounts, considering the decision-making processes of each institution but always focused on generating access for the benefit of patients and institutions, but above all in contributing to generating a sustainable health system in the long term.

Essential Functions:

PLANNING

  • Map decision processes and identify key decision makers (KDMs)
  • Ability to identify opportunities through Business Intelligence Tools
  • Design an action plan for priority accounts in cooperation with Cluster Team
  • Guarantee the pricing policy in every key account
  • Organize regular interactions with the multifunctional team to keep objectives aligned and guarantee focus on the results
  • Ensure BeiGene compliance policies, values and behaviors in every action plan and in every interaction with the stakeholders

EXECUTION

  • Build ethical relationships with the stakeholders in every Key Account
  • Guarantee a flawless execution of the accounts action plan
  • Ensure access of BeiGene products to basic formularies
  • Ensure a strong communication with the team to take advantage of the opportunities in the accounts
  • Be a team player with the wholesalers to ensure gaining contracts and timely fulfillment
  • Communicate timely our value proposition to every KDM in Key Accounts

TRACKING

  • Sales, access & competitive intelligence
  • Contracts & fulfillment
  • Update of cross-functional action plans

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • University Degree in Life Sciences/Health or Administrative discipline (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Business)
  • 5-8 years of experience as Key Account Manager mainly in public market

Other Experience:

  • Mandatory current experience of administrative processes in Key Institutions and Key Hospitals, as well as deep knowledge of the stakeholders in all levels and departments
  • Extensive demonstrated background in access, sales, territory management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated track record of including new products in Government Health Institutions, and in gaining and managing contracts
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering solid results over time
  • Deep understanding of the Key Decision-Making process in Key Accounts (stakeholders, HCPs, care networks, regulation, legislation, and the existing cross interrelationship)
  • Deep understanding of the Health Care System
  • Demonstrated solid leadership in internal cross-functional teams
  • Mandatory experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry and in Hematology & Oncology areas
  • Solid communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Travel:  Availability to travel approximately 70% of the time

Computer Skills:  Standard Computer Skills required (MS Office)
