About the Role

Our Sales team is passionate about building strong relationships and connecting with customers to bring our much-loved brands to life in dynamic and growing markets. They play a key role in expanding the reach of our iconic portfolio across more than 180 countries each year.

This role operates across diverse markets, channels, and areas of expertise. It offers the chance to tap into your curiosity and passion to unlock consumer insights and harness digital platforms. You’ll help us reach new customers, occasions, and growth opportunities, contributing directly to our ambition.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Drive detailed execution in-store, ensuring excellence in availability, visibility, pricing, and promotions to improve consumer engagement and sales impact.

  • Build strong connections with customers and partners, understanding their needs and using insights to support long-term growth.

  • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities through market analysis, consumer insights, and expansion beyond the current client base.

  • Execute commercial plans in alignment with Key Account Managers, optimizing portfolio mix and driving sales, profitability, and market share.

  • Track and analyze performance metrics (sales, inventory, margins), turning data into actionable insights to continuously improve results and support decision-making.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams in Finance, Supply, Marketing, and Customer Marketing to build and complete Joint Business Plans (JBPs), identifying potential areas for expansion and improving market reach.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build lasting relationships with customers, positioning Diageo as their preferred supplier through a customer-focused approach.

  • Company Policies & Routines: Ensure full compliance with Diageo’s commercial routines, capability programs, certifications, trainings, and company policies.

Experience Required & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, accompanied by the capacity to influence both internal and external collaborators.

  • Analytical approach with solid planning capabilities and a focus on achieving goals in problem-solving.

  • Effective business presentation skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations.

  • Proven track record of delivering sales and distribution targets consistently.

  • Demonstrated excellence in accomplishing commercial initiatives across in-store and e-commerce channels.

  • Solid understanding of key sales drivers (availability, shelf share, displays, pricing) and how to optimize them.

  • Ability to generate actionable insights that unlock growth opportunities and drive performance.
