    Course: Introduction to Justice Studies

    This course provides an introduction to the basic components of the criminal justice system in the United States today: corrections, courts, and law enforcement.

    Other Courses May Include: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Professional Responsibility in Justice, Criminal Behavior and Victimology, Policing, Communication in Law Enforcement, The Police Function, and/or Law Enforcement Capstone

    What You Will Do:

    • Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
    • Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
    • Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes
    • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

    What You Will Bring:

    • Preferred: PhD in Justice Studies
      • Legal Studies
      • JD
    • OR Master’s in the above areas
    • Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master's in any field possessing 18 graduate credits in Justice Studies and substantial work experience
