As a Workday Consultant within our HR Technology organization, you will partner with HR teams and HR IT colleagues to design, develop, and implement integrations that keep our internal and external systems seamlessly aligned. This is an exciting opportunity to sit at the forefront of projects and enhancements across our HR Information Systems, combining Workday integration tools with emerging orchestration capabilities in Flowise and Flowise AI.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver Workday integration solutions: Collaborate with AstraZeneca IT teams (e.g., Identity Management, MuleSoft) and vendor partners to design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and internal/external systems.
  • Leverage Flowise and Flowise AI for orchestration: Utilize Flowise/Flowise AI to design, visualize, and orchestrate integration workflows, including API calls, data transformations, error handling, testing, and monitoring for Workday use cases. Apply AI-driven workflow components to improve data quality checks, routing, and exception handling.
  • Analyze requirements and document designs: Translate business requirements into robust integration solutions; produce clear documentation of requirements, solution options, impacts, alternatives, and final decisions.
  • Participate in HR discovery workshops: Engage with HR partners across Centers of Excellence to scope integration needs, demonstrate prototypes, and refine designs.
  • Team collaboration and governance: Work cross-functionally with teammates, Global Process Owners, and HR stakeholders; adhere to AstraZeneca’s change and release methodology, including versioning and deployment processes for Workday integrations and Flowise/Flowise AI assets.
  • Project reporting and status: Provide timely status updates to your Engagement Manager, technical lead, or supervisor; keep stakeholders apprised of risks, issues, and progress across Workday and Flowise-enabled integrations.
  • Design, develop, and implement integrations: Build and support Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, CCW/CCB, Payroll) and complementary Flowise/Flowise AI workflows for orchestration, validation, and observability.

Essential skills and experience

  • Consulting and stakeholder management: Strong consulting and presentation skills with the ability to manage customer expectations and communicate integration trade-offs.
  • Learning mindset: Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies, including evolving capabilities in Workday and Flowise AI.
  • Analytical skills: Experience using analytics and reporting tools to validate and monitor integrations.
  • Fast learner: Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training; curiosity to prototype with Flowise AI and Workday integration tools.
  • HR tech familiarity: Familiarity with HR systems and technologies with the ability to evaluate and recommend suitable solutions and integration patterns.
  • Workday integration expertise: Experience with EIB, Studio, CCW, CCB, Payroll Integrations, and APIs with Workday.
  • Flowise AI knowledge: Understanding Flowise/Flowise AI for building and orchestrating workflow pipelines and AI agents that interact with APIs, perform data enrichment, and support automated triage of integration exceptions; awareness of AI safety and compliance practices (prompt management, PII handling, evaluation/monitoring) within enterprise integrations.
  • Web services and security: Knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, PGP, SAML, OAuth and how to apply them within Workday.
  • Data transformation: Experience with XML/XSLT and Java is helpful; ability to map and transform data for Workday integrations.
  • Workday reporting: Experience with Workday reporting tools for extraction and integration use cases.
  • Design documentation: Experience creating detailed system integration specifications, field mappings, and system process designs, including documentation and runbooks.
  • Lifecycle experience: Exposure to the full lifecycle of Workday implementations and upgrades; familiarity with promoting changes through environments and coordinating with Workday release schedules.
  • Support and operations: Experience providing Workday support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and metrics for root cause analysis.
  • Problem solving: Creative and analytical problem solver, focused on reliability and performance of integrations.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication, with concise documentation and the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective analytics: Ability to define and track integration KPIs, ensuring robust monitoring and alerting.
