We are looking for an Junior Test Engineer to ensure the quality of security applications for cloud-based solutions. The role involves working closely with software engineers within an agile team to validate their work and contribute to both manual and automated testing, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-quality software delivery.Job description
Responsibilities:
· Plan, design, execute, and maintain test cases for cloud-based security applications.
· Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners, and other agile team members throughout the development lifecycle.
· Identify, document, and track defects, and verify fixes.
· Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated tests (e.g. unit, integration, and end-to-end tests).
· Ensure overall product quality with a focus on functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
· Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Experience in software testing within an agile development environment.
· Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
· Hands-on experience with test design techniques and test execution.
· Basic knowledge of automated testing concepts and tools (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, or similar).
· General understanding of cloud-based applications and architectures (e.g. how applications are typically deployed and tested in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments).
· Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
· English language – intermediate proficiency.
Nice to Have:
· Experience with test automation in C#, PowerShell, or similar scripting or programming languages.
· Familiarity with API testing (REST, gRPC).
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
· Basic knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
· Experience working with microservice-based systems.
Basic wage component (brutto): from 2300 EUR/m. (brutto)
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
