What you’ll do:
The Junior Software Support Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, analysing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for HPE’s portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
· Provide technical support for Ubuntu, Morpheus
· Collaborate with product teams to validate and optimize solution interoperability.
· Deliver guidance and best practices for deployment and configuration.
· Contribute to feature enhancements and roadmap discussions for supported solutions.
· Participate in proof-of-concept (POC) activities and solution validation.
· Support automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
· Work closely with engineering, product management and support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful project delivery.
What you’ll need:
- Linux administration, particularly Ubuntu, experience with virtualization technologies and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and storage concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor or Master’s degree completed recently (preferably in Engineering/IT or related field)
