We are looking for a new member at our Swedish location to expand our talented and highly motivated Image quality Research Engineer team, and can offer you a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills around X-ray detectors for the position of Junior Research Engineer. In search we have a curious individual with a broad range of interests. Since image quality lies at the intersection of physics, electronics, mathematics and software, a generalist problem solver with an open mind would be ideal. A pragmatic individual with a "how hard can it be?" attitude.
This is a full-time role offered in a hybrid format, which means few days’ office presence.
What you'll be doing:
• Create and optimize algorithms for image processing and correction
• Design, perform and analysis of experiments for evaluating and improving image quality of our X-Ray detectors
• Develop software tools for development of X-Ray detectors
What we are looking for:
• Preference will be given to applicants who have recently completed a Master's degree in Engineering Physics. Applicants from related fields, such as applied mathematics, are also encouraged to apply. Ideally, candidates should have no more than two years of professional experience
• Some programming experiences. Python is strongly preferred, but other languages like MATLAB are also suitable
• Solid understanding of physics fundamentals. Communication with cleanroom supplier/service provider, production and customers in English is essential
Nice to have:
• Interest/experience with electronics
• Systems programming experience (Rust, C or C++)
• Medical or other imaging experience
