We operate in a multichannel and competitive market in which pricing activity determines and sets competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals. That’s why we continuously reinforce pricing excellence by deploying smart pricing strategies and improving internal pricing processes.
The central pricing department is a young team of 4 people consisting of 3 analysts and 1 manager. Your mission would be to reinforce pricing processes, communicate with marketing teams across European countries and support the team in realizing the following objectives:
Data Management & Pricing Analysis
Strong ability to structure, manage, and analyze pricing datasets using Google Database tools (BigQuery / Cloud SQL).
Proficient in designing optimized SQL queries, automating data pipelines, and ensuring accuracy of pricing inputs (price lists, discounts, conditions, SPI/PPI, margins).
Experience consolidating data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, sales files, market data) to support pricing decisions.
Dashboarding & Visualization (Looker Studio)
Advanced expertise in Looker Studio to build automated pricing dashboards and performance reports.
Ability to translate complex pricing data into clear visuals (margin evolution, price positioning vs competition, discount analysis, profitability by customer/product).
Skilled in creating dynamic KPI-driven dashboards for Pricing, Sales, and Management teams.
Pricing Process Optimization
Experience using analytics to support pricing strategy and execution (tariff updates, harmonization projects, discount governance).
Ability to identify pricing anomalies, trend deviations, and margin leakage through advanced reporting.
Contributes to data-driven decision-making for price setting, segmentation, and value-based pricing initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Ability to work closely with Pricing, Sales, Finance, and Product Management to align dashboards with business needs.
Communicates technical insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
To carry out this project, you will work closely with the pricing team, the product marketing team but also with the Valeo Service subsidiaries in different countries. Candidates will be supported with proper induction and guidance.
Academic background
Master degree (BAC +4/+5) in Business / Management / Marketing / Finance
Languages
English: fluent
French: intermediate level (not mandatory)
Knowledge of another European language is a plus
IT skills
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS: Strong ability to structure, clean, and manage datasets using Google Database tools (BigQuery / Cloud SQL).
REPORTING AND VISUALIZATION: expertise in Looker Studio for building interactive dashboards and automated pricing reports.
MICROSOFT EXCEL: Advanced level required, analytical skills is a must.
GOOGLE WORKSPACE: Advanced level on google sheets.
