We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Planning Manager with specialized experience in high-rise construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for project scheduling, progress monitoring, and comprehensive reporting while supporting senior management in delivering complex vertical construction projects on time and within budget.
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP) for high-rise construction projects
Create baseline schedules, track progress, and identify critical path activities
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure adherence to established timelines
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) capturing work progress, resource utilization, and site activities
Generate Weekly Progress Reports (WPRs) summarizing project advancement, challenges, and upcoming activities
Compile comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior leadership review
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely submission of all required reports
Progress Monitoring & Analysis
Conduct regular site visits to assess actual progress against planned activities
Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions
Track resource allocation and productivity metrics
Identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies
Coordination & Communication
Facilitate planning meetings with project teams and stakeholders
Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant parties
Support project managers in decision-making processes
Maintain effective relationships with contractors and consultants
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
6-7 years of experience in construction planning, preferably in high-rise projects
Demonstrated experience with vertical construction methodologies and sequencing
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) for project scheduling and resource planning
Strong experience in creating and maintaining DPRs, WPRs, and MIS reports
Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
Familiarity with construction contract management and procurement processes
Software Competency
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Microsoft Project (MSP) - intermediate to advanced level
AutoCAD knowledge preferred
Experience with construction management software is an advantage
