Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program by developing MBSE artifacts for the GM Integrated Digital Data Environment (GM-IDDE) that enables MDA to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System-defending our homeland, deployed forces, allies, and partners-by supporting the development of a digital engineering environment that advances integrated system design, analysis, and decision-making!
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and maintain SysML models to include Information Technology (IT) systems, software, digital architecture, and requirements specifications.
Support system development as an architect to include requirements management, configuration management, data management, risk management, etc.
Develop and maintain system of interest functional and logical models.
Develop user guides, training, demonstrations, and other resources to promote the expansion of model-based systems engineering within the GMD program.
Participate in system requirements reviews and in creating and/or updating requirement specifications.
Support cross-functional teams in developing architecture to explain complex topics.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
BS STEM degree required
3+ years of relevant experience with MBSE, Software, and Systems Engineering on complex systems
Active Secret clearance
Working knowledge of SysML and MBSE tools such as Magic Draw/Cameo, DOORS Next Generation, Enterprise Architect, Cameo Collaborator, IBM Rational Publishing Engine, Rhapsody, etc
Understanding of system interface requirements and requirements management through SysML models
Clearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels
Demonstrated ability to master complex technical subjects in a short time
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience developing and presenting briefings to Government customers
Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work well in a team environment, strong work ethic, and self-starting
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders and non-MBSE trained people, both in written and verbal forms
Ability to provide significant contributions in the areas of creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical thinking
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
BS STEM degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred
Experience with Network Architectures such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (highly desired)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience creating documentation for manual processes, with an emphasis on modeling and improvement.
General understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes and policies.
Experience working on an Agile Scrum team (preferably a SAFe framework) and using GitLab for project management.
