Then you may be our new Junior Merchandising Manager

The Junior Merchandising Manager plays a vital role in supporting the development and execution of merchandising strategies across Royal Copenhagen’s global product portfolio. Working closely with the Merchandising Managers, you will contribute to the creation and implementation of product roadmaps, assortment plans, and sales analyses, while also taking ownership of key deliverables such as data management, reporting, and process coordination throughout various merchandising activities.

This role requires a highly motivated professional with strong analytical skills, an eye for product & design, and the ability to collaborate across various functions and geographies. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about contributing to the success of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Analytical Support

  • Support the Merchandising Managers in developing and implementing merchandising strategies and product roadmaps, e.g. by preparing range plan briefs to Design.
  • Conduct collection and category performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations for the future product portfolio
  • Set up competitor monitoring for global positioning and new launches.

Data & Process Ownership

  • Own data and file management for new developments across various touchpoints, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Keep the product roadmaps and product books updated, ensuring alignment with new additions and exits.
  • Track sales vs. forecast for assigned collections and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Prepare and maintain merchandising dashboards for the team in PowerBI.

Commercial & Go-to-Market Activities

  • Prepare financial summaries of range plans and seasonal launches by different dimensions and categories.
  • Prepare go to market materials, market handover documents and product training decks.
  • Lead sample process timings and communication with stakeholders along our Concept-to-Consumer brand process.

Team & Collaboration

  • Contribute to a positive and agile team culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Marketing, Design, and Supply Chain to achieve our overall Vita and BU goals.

Your background

  • Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of work experience in an international lifestyle, retail, fashion, or FMCG company.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to learn and apply data analysis and reporting using systems such as PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Ability to apply both creative and data-driven thinking to support commercial decision-making and business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with ERP or PLM systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • True team player, actively contributing to overall team success and well-being.
  • Willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Genuine interest in product, design, and brand development within the lifestyle or luxury sector.

Language skills:

  • Fluent English both verbally and written is required
  • Any other languages are a bonus
