As a Junior Mechanical Field Specialist, you'll play a vital role with our customers. Leading installation and maintenance activities, you will work with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant installations. You'll be the onsite expert, continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for customers.

Fuel your passion

As a Junior Mechanical Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and following specific detailed instructions.

  • Learning and assisting other crew members during Installation and/or Maintenance activities at Customer Sites.

  • Learning to execute maintenance/installation of TPS rotating equipment and for assisting other crew members in performing the assigned scope of work.

  • Primarily interacting with assigned MENTOR or direct supervisor and other specialists/supervisors in the group.

  • Executing all required responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors.

  • Following all IET Gas Technology Service applicable processes and procedures.

  • Performing other related duties as required.

  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in mechanical and electrical engineering with 1–2 years of experience with rotating equipment

  • Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (Mechanical drawings, P&ID, Instrumentation, etc.)

  • Strong Mechanical and Control attitude

  • Excellent English fluency, both spoken and written; Spanish will be an added advantage.

  • Willingness and availability to travel worldwide 80% of the time (on and offshore).
